The Minto Cup Host Committee is proud to unveil both the competing teams in one of the most exciting events in Canadian lacrosse – the 2025 Minto Cup, the National Championship for Junior ‘A’ lacrosse in Canada.
The Meridian Centre will play host to the event from Saturday, August 16 to Saturday, August 23.
Teams taking part in this year’s event were finalized this week, with the defending national champion Coquitlam Adanacs (British Columbia), alongside the Raiders Lacrosse Club from Calgary (Alberta and Saskatchewan), the Orangeville Northmen (Ontario) and the host St. Catharines Athletics.
Three of the four teams are returning from having played in last year’s Minto Cup.
This year’s event marks the return of the Minto to St. Catharines after 24-years, and tickets for all games are on sale at www.ticketmaster.ca, with the six-time Minto Cup winning St. Catharines Athletics looking to fill the Meridian Centre for each and every game.
In a significant partnership agreement, the Host Committee is proud to partner with Lacrosse Canada, TSN and the National Lacrosse League to allow fans to share the action with those in the stands. TSN+ and NLL+ are providing the games on their respective platforms, providing a number of ways for those across Canada and beyond to watch the action. Games are available on the TSN+ platform(https://www.tsn.ca/tsnplus), a paid streaming service in Canada, along with the NLL+ viewing platform, a free streaming platform available across Canada and the United States (https://plus.nll.com).
“We’re excited to make sure that the Minto Cup is seen by as many lacrosse fans across the country as possible,” said Paul Coates, President of the St. Catharines Athletics Junior Lacrosse Club, and Chair of the 2025 Minto Cup Organizing Committee.
“To match the pace and emotion of the games with the talented group of individuals calling the action, we’re excited to partner with Lacrosse Canada, TSN and the National Lacrosse League to give this event the platform it deserves.”
